"EuroPa" wins Over Moscow

The plants used for the interior and exterior walls were commissioned by Weckenmann in mid-2009

The concrete parts are delivered with full thermal insulation and a plaster surface directly from the factory. This allows a variety of decorative elements and individual colour schemes to be taken into account.

The parts are manufactured using a circulation system designed for the horizontal production of precast concrete and whose output capacity is comparable to that of a battery mould. The high versatility of the plant enables a wide range of precast concrete parts to be accommodated. ZhBl-6 manufactures flooring and sandwich elements, façades with decorative elements, and piles, for example. Each year, enough concrete parts are delivered for 200.000 m2 of living space. "The new parts, with better insulation and additional applications, improve the quality of life for residents while allowing construction companies to offer a new, highly efficient product", affirms Viktor Egorov, the first Vice President of the committee for the Moscow building inspection agency.

Multi-storey building in modern architectural style manufactured by using German technology

The name EuroPa references the modern European architectural style and the fact that the system is manufactured using German technology. It was originally developed by LSR affiliate company DSK-Blok from St. Petersburg. Weckenmann also raised the bar in 2008 with a state-of-the-art
flooring and wall production facility that features nine battery moulds, automated circulation, and innovative compression technology. EuroPa is currently approved for 17-storey construction in Moscow. Up to 25 storeys are planned.
